
Gooey CBD Mac & Cheese
Hearty Dish
A classic comfort dish, mac & cheese spans generations with its unique gooey texture. In this CBD-infused version, creamy macaroni is smothered in rich cheddar sauce, baked under a crunchy topping of breadcrumbs and cheese biscuits. A cozy and indulgent recipe for sharing!
Ingredients
- Macaroni : 225 g
- Vegetable oil : 5 mL
- Butter : 60 g
- CBD butter : 40 g
- Flour : 15 g
- Milk : 240 mL
- Heavy cream : 240 mL
- Salt : ½ tsp
- Ground black pepper : 1 pinch
- Grated cheddar : 225 g
- Cheese biscuits : 50 g
- Panko breadcrumbs : 50 g
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 170 °C (340 °F). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook the macaroni al dente. Drain, rinse with cold water, and toss with oil. Set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and CBD butter. Stir in the flour and whisk.
- Add the milk and cream, season, and cook 3–4 min until thickened.
- Stir in 200 g of grated cheddar until smooth.
- Mix the cooked macaroni into the sauce thoroughly.
- Pour into a greased baking dish (22 × 33 cm / 9 × 13 in).
- Combine remaining cheddar, crushed cheese biscuits, and breadcrumbs. Sprinkle on top.
- Bake 30–40 min until golden and crispy.
- Serve with a green salad or roasted vegetables to balance the richness of the dish.
