A classic comfort dish, mac & cheese spans generations with its unique gooey texture. In this CBD-infused version, creamy macaroni is smothered in rich cheddar sauce, baked under a crunchy topping of breadcrumbs and cheese biscuits. A cozy and indulgent recipe for sharing!

Ingredients

  • Macaroni : 225 g
  • Vegetable oil : 5 mL
  • Butter : 60 g
  • CBD butter : 40 g
  • Flour : 15 g
  • Milk : 240 mL
  • Heavy cream : 240 mL
  • Salt : ½ tsp
  • Ground black pepper : 1 pinch
  • Grated cheddar : 225 g
  • Cheese biscuits : 50 g
  • Panko breadcrumbs : 50 g

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 170 °C (340 °F). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook the macaroni al dente. Drain, rinse with cold water, and toss with oil. Set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and CBD butter. Stir in the flour and whisk.
  4. Add the milk and cream, season, and cook 3–4 min until thickened.
  5. Stir in 200 g of grated cheddar until smooth.
  6. Mix the cooked macaroni into the sauce thoroughly.
  7. Pour into a greased baking dish (22 × 33 cm / 9 × 13 in).
  8. Combine remaining cheddar, crushed cheese biscuits, and breadcrumbs. Sprinkle on top.
  9. Bake 30–40 min until golden and crispy.
  10. Serve with a green salad or roasted vegetables to balance the richness of the dish.
