CBD Oil
Essential Recipes
You can use any type of cooking oil to make CBD oil, even a blend of multiple oils. It is recommended to use the oils you already cook with. Some recipes may call specifically for CBD-infused olive, coconut, or vegetable oil. We use GMO-free oils whenever possible. The finished CBD oil will have a slight green tint. Stored in a cool, dark place, it keeps for up to six months.
Ingredients
- Cooking oil (olive, coconut, sunflower, canola, or blend) : 1.4 L
- Decarboxylated and ground CBD flowers : 28 g
- Decarboxylated, dried, ground, and trimmed CBD leaves : 56 g
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, gently heat the oil over low heat.
- Whisk in the CBD.
- Cook for 3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes. Occasional bubbles are normal, but do not let it boil.
- While the oil cooks, line a strainer with cheesecloth over a large glass bowl.
- After 3 hours, pour the oil through the cheesecloth into the bowl. Press the CBD with a spatula to extract all the oil. Discard the cheesecloth.
- Transfer the oil to a glass jar with a lid and store in a cool, dark place.
